Message	i remove what trim i can. it increases longevity. taping up to edges of trim leaves spots where dust can collect and blow out when the gun shoots it as well. it's the same concept that dictates that you should take off all tape and re-tape between coats. a nice looking paint job can be done with trim on and good tape jobs, but there are benefits to removing trim.
